Early Life
Mayihalome was born December 10, 1982 to parents, Steve Tshwete and Pamela MaMzangwa. His father was a politician who was also a member of the African National Congress while his mother also a Politician and Deputy Minister of Water and Sanitation. His father passed away on April 26, 2002.
Mayihalome also has two siblings named Lindela and Yonda.
He had his primary and secondary education in Eastern Cape, South Africa. He also obtained a degree in Business Administration from a South African University.
Career
Mayihlome serves as the spokesperson for the Department of Home Affairs. He has also worked as the Head of Communications for the same Department and resigned in 2018.
As a politician, he is a member of African National Congress (ANC) party and already boast of numerous political positions even since he started his political career in 2010.
Personal Life
Mayihlome got married to his wife, Zizo Tshwete, on December 11, 2015, in Gonubie Manor. The couple met in Durban during the 40th birthday celebration of Malusi Gigaba.
Their union is blessed with a son named Vukile Tshwete, born in 2016.
